MEN, MOVIES & CAROL (CBS 10/24/94)

Carol Burnett takes a satirical, lyrical look at sex and the movies. There'll be music, comedy and needless to say, lots of action. Carol is joined by Tony Bennett, Scott Bakula, Barry Bostwick and Michael Jeter in an hour that both salutes and satirizes the movies. Comic highlights include a parody of “Double Indemnity” (1944), with Bakula and Burnett in the roles created by Fred McMurray and Barbara Stanwyck; and a sendup of “The Remains of the Day” (1993), with Burnett and Bostwick impersonating Emma Thompson and Anthony Hopkins. Melodious spots include a solo by Bennett (“By Myself”) and a spirited tribute to MGM musicals. (60 min, includes original network commercials)
